Christmas Tree Festival
A community event bringing together church and local groups, charities, schools, businesses and individuals by each decorating a Christmas tree which are then displayed for the public to view.
Our first Christmas Tree Festival was held last year on Saturday 6th December. It was a huge success and over 400 visitors came into the church to admire the 32 trees, which had been imaginatively decorated by groups from St Mary’s church, local schools and Playschool, charities and businesses.
The tree entered by Baddow Hall Junior School, 'Let it Snow', won the public vote and members of their choir also provided festive musical entertainment, along with John Kingham (organ), Will Brown (keyboard) and the St Mary’s Christmas choir.
There was also a children’s craft, church Chrismas card, tombola and lucky dip. Food and drinks were enjoyed throughout the day.
This year's event will be held in church on Saturday 5th December, so put this date in your diary now. Further information and booking forms will be available nearer the time.
