Christmas Tree Festival
A community event bringing together church and local groups, charities, schools, businesses and individuals by each decorating a Christmas tree which are then displayed for the public to view.
Our first Christmas Tree Festival was held on Saturday 6th December. It was a huge success with over 400 visitors into the church to admire the 32 trees which had been imaginatively decorated by groups from St Mary’s, local schools and playschool, charities and businesses.
Baddow Hall Junior School's 'Let it Snow' tree won the public vote and members of their choir also provided festive musical entertainment along with John Kingham (organ), Will Brown (keyboard) and the St Mary’s Christmas choir.
There was also a children’s craft, church Chrismas card, tombola, lucky dip, food and drinks.
A huge thank you to everyone who entered a tree and the team who made the day run so smoothly.
We are hoping to make this an annual event at St Mary's so please put Saturday 5th December 2026 in your diaries now and look out for information and booking forms later in the year.
