This will be a ticketed (£1) event. Tickets are available from the Church Office from Monday 6th October.

Confirmation

Confirmation is an important milestone in our journey of faith and our participation in church life. It is an opportunity to state publicly our faith in Christ and our decision to live life his way, and is a significant event for the individuals being confirmed and for all of us as a church family.

We’ll be holding a Confirmation service in St Mary’s on 30 November this year. Confirmation is usually open to those of age 12 upwards, and there is no upper limit! If you have not already been baptised, and are 12 or above, we would normally arrange for baptism and confirmation to take place at the same time. If you feel this might be the next step for you to take, or you just want to find out more about what it involves – whether you have been a Christian for years or have newly come to faith – then please speak to Philip or Katie.

Cathedral Young Vocations’ Day

‘The Echo of Whisper’
Saturday 22nd November 10.300 – 2.30pm Chelmsford Cathedral

A time to explore God’s call on your life. The day is aimed at 16-30’s who are looking, even at the very earliest stages, to explore God’s calling on their life, especially to ministry in the Church. The day will include input and stories from Bishop Stephen and others, and lots of time for discussion & asking questions. With lively worship, lots of bottles of water, lots of coffee and a free lunch!
