Auction of Promises
Saturday 17th May, 7.30pm, St Mary's Church

Have fun and support Kagando Hospital, Uganda. The MAC Group invite you, your family and friends to a fun auction with a difference. We’re not looking for you to bring along objects like Grannie’s best tea-cups from the loft but hope you’ll offer something practical you could do to be auctioned on the evening to the highest bidder – all proceeds going to this hard working hospital in Uganda that is providing care the best they can to the community around them with far less resources than we have. To give you some idea of what you can bid for on the evening, I already have promises of a drive for up to 3 people to Southend for some sea air; an offer of afternoon tea including sandwiches and homemade scones for up to 6 people; babysitting; ironing; a flower arrangement to be delivered for your special occasion; some exciting motor bike rides offered by a careful driver! Please use your imagination and offer what you could promise to do – all offers to Sandy, then we can provide a list of all the lovely things you could bid for! We hope you’ll all come and support this evening with your promises and your presence. Nibbles will be provided. Please bring your own drinks and glasses.

Home for Good

  • Anyone interested in helping vulnerable children in our communities
  • Anyone who's considering fostering or adopting.
  • Christian adoptive parents, foster carers and social workers who want to meet others doing the same

News & Views
The Great Baddow Foodbank distribution centre opened in Bell Street Hall on Tuesday 18th March and some of the team had a great surprise when the Mayor and Mayoress of Chelmsford came along to open the centre.

The Foodbank is open each Tuesday afternoon between 1-3pm and we are grateful for all those who have volunteered to help with this important ministry to those in need in our community. There are Foodbank collection boxes with details about what is needed in St. Mary’s and in the church office.
